This is a Back Door way for them to get our GUNS!

Ammunition Accountability Legislation Remember how some politicians said that they weren't going to take your guns? Well, it seems some politicians in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo! The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun! This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm
WE HAVE TO STOP THIS NOW!
Bullet Identification Technology: A modern crime fighting tool
Bullet identification technology, known as an ammunition coding technology, has been developed and will provide law enforcement with modern crime fighting tools. Ammunition coding technology assigns a unique code to every round of ammunition manufactured, and by recording sales records, law enforcement personnel will be able to easily trace the ammunition involved in a crime and have an avenue to pursue and solve even the most difficult cases.
The unique code is micro-laser engraved on factory-produced ammunition. This laser engraving is etched on both the projectile and the inside of the cartridge casing.
The unique code is micro-laser engraved on factory-produced ammunition. This laser engraving is etched on both the projectile and the inside of the cartridge casing.
Each code will be common to a single box of cartridges and unique from all other ammunition sold. The unique ammunition codes will be tracked and records maintained to identify individual ammunition purchases. The ammunition coding technology will provide a method for law enforcement personnel to trace ammunition purchases and link bullets and cartridge cases found at crime scenes to the initial retail ammunition purchaser.
This system will not necessarily prove who pulled the trigger, but it will provide law enforcement with a valuable lead and a starting point to quickly begin their investigations.
The design of the ammunition coding technology laser engraving system will allow law enforcement personnel to identify the bullet code in cases where as little as 20% of the bullet base remains intact after recovery. Since bullets are designed to keep the base solid and in its original configuration, the likelihood of ammunition codes remaining legible after recovery is very high. Law enforcement testing has already shown a 99% success rate in identifying the ammunition code after bullet recovery.

Our Rights! My Take....

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. (waiting for attack) The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.
6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my shotgun.'
7. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!
But wait, there's more!
I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.' To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.

Trail Cameras

I am back again, I know I have not posted any new things in a while. I have been very busy. I am back now!
I have wanted a trail camera for quite a while now. I have not bought one yet because I have a few concerns. One is that someone walking through my AO (Area of Operation) might take a likein to my goods and want t more than I. Two is what in the world do I get, I really don't want a 35mm style I want a digital, also I want it to be infrared and not have a flash simply because if there is a person in my AO I can get there pic without them knowing. Reason 3 is how do you know what is good and what is not so good, I am sure that like everything else in life you get what you pay for so do you go with a $59.00 or do you spend $399.00 or more? What is your take? Do you use them? Do they affect your hunt? Do you think they help? I have heard some people say that most of the game they get are after dark and you can't hunt after dark. But if you know that big one is there you can hunt that spot more so...?

DEER HUNTING HIGH UP

I personally like a box blind style tree stand better than a ladder style stand. The main reason is because it hides your movement so the game can't see you near as easily. They are also good when it is raining and windy you can hunt without being miserable.

Knives For Deer - What's Your Choice?

What's your knife choice for cleaning deer? I have used folding, fixed blade, skinning, boning, and filet. I like my razor knife for starting, then I move to my fixed blade to seprate the hide, then I move to my filet knife to remove the tender loin. Do you have a different choice for any other game? What's your take?

Shotgun or Small Cal. Rifle for Short Range Deer Hunting?

I started out when I was about 10 years old deer hunting with a pump .410 shotgun with a slug. After a few my dad and mom gave me a 20ga pump shotgun which I used slug and buck shot. I then got a Marlin 30-30 for Christmas and used it until I got my .270 a few years ago. Now I like the 30-30 because it is a great gun for short range (25yds) shots and I can still use it at 200 if I need to. Now I have had many people tell me they love a rifled barrel hot gun such as a 12ga and a slug. I have heard that some have taken deer at 300+ yards with a 12ga slug. I personally don't want to but what do you think? What are your thoughts about it Shotgun or small Cal. Rifle?

Rifle Scopes
This is a pic of the best scope I have ever used. I absolutely love the Swarovski scope I will tell you there is a difference. If you can afford one it is worth every penny. I happened on a very good deal, that’s the only reason I have one. Only thing is I would like to have more zoom and a larger diameter. The clarity of this scope is what sets it apart. It really goes back to you get what you pay for. I have a Bushnell on my Marlin 30-30 and it is just a piece of junk. Really do not like it at all. After about 5 seasons of use it will not zero any more the adjustment is gone. Also it fogs up bad. My Swarovski won’t even when I have tried to make it fog up. I always zero my guns every season and at least twice during the season. I have had my A-Bolt .270 WIN and the Swarovski scope for about 5 years. Out of the 5 years I have only had to adjust it once and it was only out by 1” low at 100yds. I can’t tell you how much I like this scope. What is your favorite and what do you not like? Let us all know what are the good points and the bad of what you have or use. http://www.swarovskioptik.at/

Welcome to Hunting Products Review
I have started this so we all can get the info on the products we want. I have not been able to find a good site that has reviews of products for the hunting person. We all love good products and expensive products. I don't like spending a lot of money on them. I would rather find a great product and have it be less expensive. I want any and all to comment on the products and items you use and love. I want this to be organized and not just a jumble of post. How I would like all of you to help is, email me with a product you want to comment on and I will open a post with that product as the title. Lets say you want to let people know your opinion of a scope, you let me know and I will open a post and we can comment. Please post pictures too.
